McDowell's luxury lodge

Lounge in the lodge

Fine Country Living

When the family of Robert McDowell built their Threepwood homestead overlooking Lake Hayes in 1909 it was the pinnacle of landowner exclusivity – and in the 21st century nothing has changed.

The site is to be transformed into a luxury lodge, complete with restaurant, bar, billiards room, library and spacious outdoor areas.

Designed and landscaped to blend seamlessly into its surroundings, the lodge will be available for the use of residents and their guests, and will also become a byword for quality and the finer things of life for discerning visiting patrons.

A genteel hamlet of villas will be clustered within strolling distance, enhancing Threepwood’s stylish, relaxed focal point and ensuring a select ambience throughout the year.

And history hasn’t been ignored either as the lodge will be named in honour of the man who first established luxury living on the site…  Threepwood will once again become a name on everybody’s lips in Queenstown, and beyond.
